Abandoned before she was even born, growing up without a father and a mom who was abusive to her physically and emotionally, Anna believed that she was unworthy of love. Believing the only way to be liked by others, she lied about her family life and training herself to own her truth. Ask, and the Universe shall provide. It’s amazing what can happen for a person’s self-esteem when they heed the call and do the work, for Anna it was purposeful running, a new best friend, life coaching and the moment she took the stage to undo the lie that had kept her chained.
There is so much meat in today’s monologue that will surely resonate with our listeners.
Show quote: At 3 years old I asked my mother, Where’s my Dad” and she answered, “He’s left because you were going to be born and it’s your fault he’s not here. Now, you can never ask me that question again.” She’s crying and all I can think is, “I’m a really bad kid. All of this happened because of me. And I guess my survival instinct kicked in.”
