Grief.
There’s no escaping it.
No running from it, or avoiding it,
or wishing it away.
There’s no right distraction because when grief comes,
it persists.
It’s not polite,
Knows no boundaries,
Has no social grace,
it just comes and sits with you, like a needy and unwanted friend.
Stubborn heavy thing this grief emotion is; it doesn’t give up.
So, what choice is there to make but to mourn the losses.
And ride the waves when they come.
Stay on the rolling, roiling waves until they wash you ashore with all your unspent love.
Grieve. Love. Grieve some more. Love again.
Keep digging out the love.
Return to the calm centre of your being where your leftover love is wanting somewhere else to go.
Use what’s left inside on something else, on someone else. It sold not go wasted.,
