We’re empaths, of course we have boundaries…

Of course we are conscious of our surroundings; the people and energies in our environment

Of course we read self-help books and adopt wellness practices to help with emotional energy

Of course we say no when we mean no; we don’t overcommit

Of course we carve out me time without feeling guilty about it

Of course we keep space in every day for ourselves

Of course we proactively protect our energy

Of course we know when to leave a room to replenish our energy

Of course we understand our own emotions and energy levels

Of course we recognize situations, people, and environments that deplete us

Of course we know how to say “I need…” to convey our needs without blaming others

Of course we prioritize self-care and honor our limits without guilt

Of course we have JOMO (the joy of missing out) way more then the extrovert’s FOMO

Of course we have a self-care practice that strengthens resilience against energy vampires

Of course we listen to our gut feelings about people, places and situations

Of course we know how to ward off internalizing external energies

Of course we envision a protective shield or bubble around us to deflect negative energy

Of course we try to convince everyone how powerfully centering breathwork is

Of course we have learned to detach from others’ emotions and problems

Of course our family understands and respects our empathic sensitivities

Of course we check in to see how we’re doing and adjust our boundaries accordingly

What are your boundaries?
